Bosch Rexroth Indramat's RECO-G.06/01 is a rack communication and power distribution module from the RECO Drive Modules series. It occupies the leftmost slot of a drive rack and provides a common entry point for AC line power and serial data. Within an automated cell, the unit assigns addresses to downstream drives and channels status signals back to the supervisory controller, forming the interface between cabinet-level wiring and the motion control network used on assembly lines, packaging machines, and material-handling systems.

The module receives incoming line power through the X1 connector, and the circuit is rated for 220 VAC, so it can connect to standard single-phase utility feeders without a step-down transformer. For parameter access and serial diagnostics, the embedded controller exposes a X2 interface that links directly to a laptop or PLC. Network telegrams from the master axis controller enter on the X3 data-in port, and the board regenerates these signals before passing them to its internal backplane to maintain timing integrity across all drives in the rack. By separating high-voltage power, serial service, and deterministic fieldbus lines, the module minimizes crosstalk and simplifies cabinet wiring.

Once messages are processed, the refreshed data stream exits on X4, permitting a second rack to be cascaded without additional gateways. The backplane can support up to 8 modules, so inverter, I/O, and safety cards can be distributed in one enclosure while the address order remains consistent. That order is set with the front-panel rotary switch, which assigns a RECO number that the controller publishes in each status word. Two LED indicators marked RUN, ON provide immediate visual feedback during startup and troubleshooting. This front-panel status display makes the operating state easy to identify from outside the rack.
