Product Description:

The RECO-E.00/01 is an expansion rack in the RECO Drive Modules series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It serves as a passive carrier for plug-in I/O and communication assemblies, extending drive-based automation with a shared backplane for signals and diagnostics. In factory systems, it lets motion controllers or inverters be expanded in a modular manner, keeping wiring short and supervision centralized.

The rack communicates with higher-level controllers through the INTERBUS Remote Bus, a serial fieldbus that transfers process data and diagnostic messages in a token-passing ring. Internal synchronization between the inserted modules is handled by a Bus Board that forms the local bus medium, eliminating separate ribbon cables and reducing assembly time. A single bus segment may span 400 m, so cabinets distributed along a production line can be tied together without repeaters. When multiple segments are linked into a closed topology, the permissible ring length rises to 12.8 km, supporting large factory installations. Hardware capacity is fixed at 8 slots, allowing orderly placement of power, logic, and relay cards while keeping signal paths consistent.

For physical installation, the frame clips onto a TS 35 × 27 × 15 DIN rail, so existing control panels that follow EN 50022 profiles can accept the assembly without extra brackets. Environmental protection is limited to IP20, meaning live parts must be mounted inside a closed enclosure when dust or liquid exposure is possible. Supply conductors up to 2.5 mm² can be routed to the integrated terminal strip. The rack does not include a power supply, so an external 24 V source must feed the backplane. Operation is permitted in areas where occasional relative humidity reaches 85% with no condensation, and the rack can be stored at 75% relative humidity without moisture buildup.
