Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat designs the R-IB IL PWR IN/R-PAC, a power input interface module in the R-IB Interface Modules series. The device feeds station power to inline I/O slices and forms the entry point for the rail, making it common in distributed control cabinets for conveyors, packaging lines, and general automation. By isolating the upstream supply from downstream loads, it allows individual sections to be shut down while communication stays active.
The module accepts a main supply of 24 V DC, the standard bus level for the inline platform. It can carry 8 A continuously through its conductors, which is sufficient for high-density actuator groups. Supply ripple may not exceed an AC voltage component of 5%, which helps keep logic thresholds stable. Insulation is verified with a withstand test at 500 V AC between power and neighboring circuits. Field wiring lands on Spring-cage terminals for vibration-resistant, tool-free installation. The module has no integrated fuse, so upstream breakers must limit fault current. A parallel diode guards against reverse polarity, and the slice offers no segment overload or short-circuit indication. Transient energy is clipped by the built-in Suppressor diode, and the unit issues no error messages to the controller.
The enclosure carries an IP20 rating, so it must sit inside a closed panel but remains touch-safe without extra gasketing. A depth of 71.5 mm, a width of 12.2 mm, and a height of 119.8 mm let the slice occupy little rail space. At just 59 g, it adds minimal load to aluminum DIN rails. The plastic housing meets Protection Class III, providing functional insulation without a protective earth conductor. These dimensions support dense cabinet layouts and simplify placement when multiple power islands are distributed along an extended station.
