The R-IB IL AO 1/SF-PAC is an analog output slice manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the R-IB Interface Modules series. Mounted on a DIN rail inside an Inline station, the unit converts digital process data from the controller into a regulated analog signal for field devices such as positioners or proportional valves. In industrial automation, it adds a single isolated output channel to distributed I/O chains, allowing precise current or voltage actuation directly from the bus.

It provides one analog output with a D/A conversion depth of 16 bit, so the controller can address 65,536 discrete steps across the selected range. For current mode, the slice supports 0/4 mA … 20 mA, while voltage mode spans 0 V … 10 V. Internal circuitry keeps linearity by requiring loads below 500 Ω in current operation and above 2 kΩ for voltage sourcing. The module refreshes its process image in < 1 ms, which supports tight closed-loop control when paired with rapid drives or regulators, and it transmits this data over the Inline local bus at 500 kbps. This split feed helps preserve signal integrity by separating the analog supply from backplane noise. All wiring follows a 2-wire connection format that simplifies loop-powered field cabling.
