The R-IB IL AI 8/IS-PAC analog input interface module is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the R-IB Interface Modules series. It is intended to collect low-level process signals from field transmitters and forward the digitized data to a higher-level controller through the local bus. This gives distributed I/O capability to industrial automation systems. It also allows analog measurements to be captured near the sensing point, reducing long signal runs between field devices and the main control cabinet.
Physical and signal-conditioning parameters govern cabinet layout and measurement fidelity. An enclosure rated at IP20 protects the electronics against finger contact and limits dust ingress for indoor panels. Each input presents an impedance of 25 Ω, which matches typical two-wire loop sources and minimizes loading errors.
