The PST6250.355-L is a solid-state Thyristor-based electronically regulated transformer rectifier unit having constant current characteristics for a wide range of welding applications. The innovative design and rugged electronics control and monitoring makes the product reliable and suited for heavy duty operation. This compact Thyristor power unit is designed for use in resistance welding of metals and is suitable for operation in industrial environments as per DIN EN 50082-2 and 50081-2 on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). The unit is housed in a sturdy sheet metal casing and easily integrated into a portable welding box system. The PST6250.355-L is a state-of-the-art development by Bosch Rexroth which features, integrated control functionality, integrated weld timer, parallel / serial I/O interfaces, Fieldbus interfaces for communication and integrated control and monitoring functions. The product implements Air or water cooling for heat compensation and thermal stability.  Due to integrated system components and compact design less cabling is required with welding setup.

The PST6250.355-L is equipped with BOS-5000 operator interface for easy programming, operation and diagnostics. The Thyristor-power unit contains a thermostatic sensor, which sends a fault message to the integrated weld timer if the temperature reaches above 80° C. In such case the weld timer blocks any further operation. The green LED on the front panel of the weld timer unit goes out indicating over temperature of the Unit. The PST6250.355-L Thyristor power unit for welding transformers is offered up to max. 250 kVA, rated voltage 400 to 600 Volt, 50/60 Hz and rated current 200 Ampere (continuous thermal current). The MOV (Metal-Oxide-Varistor) is embedded in the system design to provide over-voltage protection. The degree Protection Class IP20 and IP54 is ensured for product design.
