The PST625-EW is a water-cooled alternate current welding transformer controller from Rexroth Bosch. It features both a thyristor power unit and weld timer. Its integrated weld timer monitors, controls and regulates all welding schedules. The thyristor power unit controls the AC welding transformer and generates the required heat. The design of the PST625-EW is compact and streamlined, making it about 60 % lighter and smaller than older variants. It features a parallel I/O field with switchable and coordinated functionality (manual or machine welding).

The PST625-EW is suitable for use with manual metal welding tongs and stationary welding machines. At 400 V_AC, a duty cycle of 50 % and 80 % utilization, the nominal operable transformer power of this welding controller is 155 kVA.
