Product Description

The PSI6500.100-W1 medium-frequency inverter is used for resistance welding of metals. The inverter from Bosch Rexroth must be mounted or installed only by skilled technicians. The electrodes have an extended lifespan because of the low mechanical and thermal load on their caps. The device must be fastened adequately to avoid damage to property and personnel injury. It makes use of water as the coolant during operation. There should be no condensation on water-carrying components. The cooling water must have a pH ranging between 7 and 8.5. Tap water can be used as the coolant after adding an algicide.

The inverter must not be operated in systems that feature circuit breakers with an ordinary residual current. The module has a nominal current supply of 330A. The water coolant should not exceed a maximum temperature of 30°C. The electrical connection is established with cable lugs and M10 bolts. The unit weighs close to 70kg. It must be mounted in such a way that its rear is on the mounting plate. The switchgear cabinet has a maximum power loss of 850W. The unit features a 1kHz clocking frequency. The connection cables must be fixed properly to prevent dangerous voltage from getting applied to system components.

The I/O interface has a nominal voltage rating of 24VDC. The device should be kept at a safe distance of at least 10m from communication systems and 30m from residential areas. The maximum welding current of the thyristor in the welding transformer and this inverter should not go beyond the specified rating.
