The PSI6500.100-W1 medium-frequency inverter is used for resistance welding of metals. The inverter from Bosch Rexroth must be mounted or installed only by skilled technicians. The electrodes have an extended lifespan because of the low mechanical and thermal load on their caps. The device must be fastened adequately to avoid damage to property and personnel injury. It makes use of water as the coolant during operation. There should be no condensation on water-carrying components. The cooling water must have a pH ranging between 7 and 8.5. Tap water can be used as the coolant after adding an algicide.
The inverter must not be operated in systems that feature circuit breakers with an ordinary residual current. The module has a nominal current supply of 330A. The water coolant should not exceed a maximum temperature of 30°C. The electrical connection is established with cable lugs and M10 bolts. The unit weighs close to 70kg.
