Product Description:
The PSI65C0.100-W1 belongs to the PSI Frequency Inverters series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Classified as a medium-frequency inverter, it converts standard three-phase utility power into a controlled output suitable for induction heating, welding, or other high-current processes in automated lines. Integration into a water-cooled rack provides a compact power stage that drives secondary circuits without relying on bulky line-frequency transformers.
The input section tolerates a supply range of 400 to 480 VAC at a grid frequency of 50 or 60 Hz, allowing the same unit to operate with common industrial power systems. Internally, the converter modulates the bridge at a clock rate of 1 kHz; this switching frequency affects the spectral content of the medium-frequency output and the design of downstream filters. The power stage can deliver a secondary current of up to 120 kA, enabling resistance welding guns or induction coils to reach full thermal load within milliseconds. Thermal energy generated by the IGBTs is removed through a dedicated plate exchanger that requires a coolant flow of 10 L/min. Heat rejection does not exceed 420 W, so the process water loop can remain modest in size. An integrated 24 VDC supply delivers a maximum of 2 A for gate drivers, sensors, and local control electronics, reducing the need for external power supplies in the cabinet.
The enclosure has an ingress protection rating of IP20, meaning it is finger-safe but requires installation inside a separately sealed cabinet. Two copper conductors sized at 2 × 120 mm² connect the inverter to the busbars through M10 bolts, keeping resistive losses low during peak cycles. Continuous operation is permitted from +10 to +55 °C, while storage is permitted down to -25 °C. The unit supports production-floor conditions in category 3K3 at altitudes up to 2,000 m. Assembly mass remains near 25 kg, and the frame mounts beside M16 × 1.5 water fittings designed for a 30 °C inlet temperature.
