Product Description:
The PSI64C0.734-W1 is an inverter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and placed within the PSI Frequency Inverters series. In automated lines, it converts standard plant power into a regulated medium-frequency output so that induction heating stations, resonant power supplies, or similar loads receive precisely timed energy for process control. Its regulated output supports repeatable heating cycles where timing accuracy affects thermal consistency and process stability.
Inside an enclosed cabinet, the unit releases only 69 W of heat during standby, and at maximum primary duty the cabinet losses rise to 210 W. A water-cooled design removes this heat through an internal plate that accepts M16 × 1.5 fittings, eliminating dependence on forced air in densely packed panels. The power section accepts a three-phase supply of 400 – 480 VAC and draws a nominal mains current of 220 A, which helps determine upstream breaker and contactor sizing. When the inverter is operated continuously at full rating, its heat exchanger must absorb up to 700 W of cooling losses, so stable water flow is needed to keep semiconductor and bus capacitor temperatures within range.
The electrical path to the transformer permits a 1600 A primary peak during fast ramp-up, and on the secondary side the corresponding pulse current can reach 54 kA for PSG 3100 melting circuits. To carry these currents, the busbars must be connected with a cross-section of 95 mm². A minimum cooling water flow of 4 L/min with a pressure drop of 0.6 bar keeps the exchanger operating properly, while control logic runs on a TriCore CPU that communicates through an Ethernet I/O interface and also supports EtherNet timer synchronization. Overall dimensions of 653 mm in height, 288 mm in width, and 280 mm in depth allow the housing to fit standard 600 mm deep enclosures while still leaving room for plumbing and power cabling.
