Product Description:
The PSI64C0.633-W1 is a medium-frequency inverter built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the PSI Frequency Inverters series. The unit converts three-phase mains power into controlled medium-frequency output for applications such as induction heating, resistance welding, or transformer-based power supplies in automated machinery. Its design targets medium-frequency resistance welding cells where compact power conversion and real-time current control shorten weld times and reduce spatter. It acts as the central energy module that pairs with process timers and welding controllers to regulate primary and secondary current profiles with repeatable accuracy.
The inverter accepts a three-phase supply within a range of 400 – 480 VAC and draws a nominal line current of 220 A. Internally it is strictly water cooled, a design that limits thermal rise to a maximum cooling loss of 700 W provided that at least 4 L/min of coolant flows through the heat exchanger. On the output side, the power stage can deliver up to 1600 A of primary current, which the external transformer converts to a peak secondary rating of 54 kA for short welding pulses. These current limits require a 95 mm² conductor cross-section in the mains feeder and support stable operation when as many as 32 electrodes are connected to the same cabinet.
Supervisory logic is handled by a TriCore processor that stores up to 256 programs and executes welding sequences through a cycle-accurate DeviceNet timer. Eight digital inputs and 8 digital outputs allow direct interaction with safety gates, pressure switches, or motion axes, and the same bus serves as the field interface to higher-level PLCs. The cabinet measures 653 mm in height, 288 mm in width, and 280 mm in depth, fitting alongside distribution gear without exceeding standard rack footprints.
