Product Description:
The PSI64C0.147-W1 is a medium-frequency inverter produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the PSI Frequency Inverters series. It converts incoming three-phase mains power into a regulated medium-frequency output for industrial automation equipment. This conversion supports processes that require stable electrical parameters at frequencies above the incoming line frequency, including controlled power applications in automated production systems.
The input section is rated for 400–480 VAC, matching voltage levels commonly available from three-phase industrial mains. The control circuitry synchronizes with either 50 or 60 Hz input power without requiring physical changes to the inverter. Heat generated by the IGBT stack is transferred to a water-cooled plate, allowing the thermal energy to be carried to an external heat exchanger. The cooling system must remove up to 420 W of power loss during operation. The sheet-metal housing provides IP20 protection, which prevents accidental finger contact with hazardous internal parts but does not protect the unit against water. The inverter must therefore be installed inside a suitable control cabinet with adequate coolant connections, electrical clearances, and airflow around supporting components.
The internal auxiliary supply provides 24 VDC with an available current of up to 2 A for contactors, sensors, and the built-in 24 V timer. This timer coordinates operating sequences with external control equipment without requiring a separate timing supply. Continuous operation is permitted within an ambient temperature range of +10 to +55 °C; operation outside this range may require derating or additional cabinet ventilation. When powered down, the electronics can be stored at temperatures from -25 °C to +70 °C. Climatic category 3K3 under EN 60721-3-3 permits use in stationary, weather-protected locations with moderate temperature and humidity conditions. The inverter has a mass of 25 kg, so appropriate lifting aids and secure mounting hardware should be used during installation. Cabinet layouts must also provide sufficient access for power wiring, auxiliary connections, coolant lines, and routine inspection of the inverter.
