The PSI64C0.133-W1 medium-frequency inverter is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the PSI Frequency Inverters series. In an automation cell, it provides regulated medium-frequency power that allows machine controllers to modulate the energy delivered to induction heating coils, high-speed spindle drives, or other loads requiring a variable electrical frequency. Its controlled output supports automated processes that require repeatable power delivery and coordinated operation with external machine controls.
Operation begins with a three-phase supply rated at 400–480 VAC and synchronized with industrial grids operating at 50 or 60 Hz. The internal switching stages dissipate up to 420 W as heat, so the unit is designed for water-cooled operation. The cooling circuit removes thermal losses without significantly increasing the temperature inside the enclosure. The housing has an IP20 protection rating, which prevents fingers and similarly sized solid objects from contacting live components when the inverter is installed in a cabinet. An integrated 24 VDC auxiliary supply delivers 2 A for control relays, sensors, or a panel-mounted fan. The front-panel timer interface accepts the same 24 V logic, allowing sequencers to start or stop the frequency output without additional converters.
The inverter has a climatic classification of 3K3 according to EN 60721-3-3, making it suitable for controlled indoor locations. During operation, the power stage remains functional at temperatures from +10 to +55 °C, while the permitted storage and transportation range is -25 to +70 °C. These temperature limits help protect the semiconductors and electrolytic capacitors from thermal stress while the equipment is operating or idle. Cooling losses extracted by the water loop do not exceed the stated maximum heat dissipation, allowing the external heat exchanger to be sized for the inverter’s thermal load. The inverter has a mass of 25 kg, so the cabinet rail or mounting plate must support its static load. Adequate clearance around the unit also provides access to the electrical terminals and water-cooling connections.
