Product Description:
The industrial inverter PSI63C0.780-W1 is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the PSI Frequency Inverters series. It is a medium-frequency inverter that converts plant-level three-phase power into a regulated medium-frequency output suitable for induction heating generators, resonant power supplies, and other specialized automation loads. By supplying controllable high-frequency energy, the unit allows production machines to heat, weld, or test components without mechanical contact. It can also be integrated into control cabinets that already use Rexroth drive and motion platforms.
The inverter accepts a three-phase supply between 400–480 VAC and operates at line frequencies of 50 or 60 Hz, allowing direct connection to typical European or North American distribution systems without transformers. An integrated auxiliary supply delivers 24 VDC at up to 2 A, providing power for control relays, sensors, or small fieldbus modules connected to the inverter. Control supervision is handled through an EtherNet timer interface, which provides network access to start, stop, and parameter data. The electronics are installed inside an enclosure rated IP20, which protects against accidental finger contact with live components when the device is mounted in a closed control cabinet.
Thermal management is provided by a water-cooled heat sink, allowing the inverter to transfer up to 420 W of heat into a closed liquid circuit instead of releasing it into the cabinet air. This cooling circuit allows the unit to maintain its full rating within an ambient temperature range of +10 to +55 °C. The operating climate classification is 3K3, indicating suitability for controlled industrial indoor locations. When shut down, the electronics can withstand storage temperatures from -25 to +70 °C without damage. The assembly weighs approximately 25 kg, so the mounting structure and surrounding cabinet space must accommodate its mass and provide suitable installation clearance.
