Product Description:
The PSI63C0.772-W2 belongs to the PSI Frequency Inverters series produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. As a medium-frequency unit, it converts plant mains power into a controllable AC output that maintains stable power for machining cells and other automated equipment. This model integrates into cabinets where water lines are already present and is suitable for climatic class 3K3, allowing continuous industrial operation while helping keep electronic components within their permitted thermal limits.
The inverter accepts supply voltages from 480–690 VAC, a range that matches common high-voltage distribution systems, and it synchronizes automatically with a line frequency of either 50 or 60 Hz. A built-in auxiliary supply delivers 24 VDC at up to 2 A. This auxiliary rail can power sensors, contactors, and the Ethernet-based timer that coordinates start and dwell sequences without requiring a separate control power supply. Wiring areas have an IP20 protection rating, providing protection against accidental finger contact with hazardous internal parts. The unit must be installed inside a closed control enclosure when protection from dust or fluids is necessary. The integrated low-voltage source also reduces the number of separate power components required within the cabinet.
Heat produced by the power stack is removed through a water-cooled plate, which limits internal temperature rise and transfers thermal energy to an external cooling circuit. The unit produces 420 W of cooling losses, and its water-cooled design can reduce the cabinet airflow required for thermal management. Reliable operation is maintained at ambient temperatures from +10 to +55 °C. Storage and transport are permitted at temperatures from −25 °C to +70 °C, helping protect internal electronics while the inverter is not operating. The unit has a total mass of 25 kg, which must be considered when selecting cabinet supports, mounting hardware, and lifting equipment. Adequate clearance around the cooling connections also allows the water lines to be routed without sharp bends or excessive strain.
