Product Description:
The PSI63C0.761-W1 is a medium-frequency inverter produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the PSI Frequency Inverters series. Installed between a 400–480 VAC mains supply and a medium-frequency load, it modulates incoming power so induction heaters, plasma generators, or similar equipment receive the required current waveform. The unit supports closed-loop automation lines that require fast, programmable power delivery and Ethernet-based diagnostics.
It accepts a three-phase input of 400–480 VAC and switches this waveform at 1 kHz, producing a medium-frequency output suited to metallic heating coils. Under continuous duty, the inverter can deliver a nominal system current of 110 A, while short bursts can reach a maximum output current of 800 A. The transformer secondary can accommodate high peak current from low-impedance loads without immediately activating the overvoltage protection stage. Cabinet losses are limited to 69 W, while as much as 420 W of heat can be transferred to the water circuit during more intensive load cycles. The terminal blocks accept conductors with a cross-sectional area of 50 mm², providing connections suitable for the inverter’s current range.
The inverter is water-cooled, and its internal heat exchanger requires a flow rate of 4 L/min with a maximum inlet water temperature of 30 °C. The cooling circuit connects through an M16 × 1.5 threaded fitting. The enclosure has a protection rating of IP20, so the inverter should be installed inside an electrical cabinet that limits exposure to contaminants. Operation is permitted at ambient temperatures up to 55 °C, provided the cooling circuit removes heat effectively. A built-in Ethernet I/O interface supports status reporting and parameter downloads without additional gateway hardware, while the timer channel is also configured for Ethernet communication. A metal-oxide varistor provides overvoltage suppression. The transformer secondary current must not exceed 36 kA during process transients.
