PSI63C0.752-L2 is a medium-frequency inverter with integrated control function. It is part of the PSI 6000 series from Bosch Rexroth. The inverter is designed for use in resistance welding of metals. It should be used in industrial environments that comply with DIN EN 50082-2 and 50081-2 for EMC. Any other application of the inverter is prohibited. Inverter features include integrated welding control, flexible serial and parallel interfaces, fieldbus communication interfaces, integrated monitoring and control functions, easy integration into portable welding system, and BOS-5000 operator interface for operation, programming, and diagnostics. Slots are available on the unit for optional I/O modules, fieldbus programming module, and a quality module. The inverter connects to a welding transformer from the PSG 3000 MF series. Mains AC input to the inverter is rectified and the DC current connects an H-bridge to the welding transformer at 1 kHz.
Modulating the pulse width allows control of the welding current intensity. Different options are available for measuring the welding current. A thermostatic switch is used to monitor for overloads on the welding transformer. PSI63C0.752-L2 is an air cooled inverter with 480 to 690 Volts AC input voltage range. Its protection class is IP20 and it is designed for mounting in an IP54 rated modular enclosure or switchgear cabinet. The ambient temperature must not exceed 55 degrees Celsius.
