The PSI63C0.737-L1 is a medium-frequency inverter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the PSI Frequency Inverters series. Designed for industrial automation cells that require tightly controlled medium-frequency power, it conditions three-phase input power and converts it into a stable output for process equipment. It feeds induction heaters, welders, or similar loads while the integrated control electronics supervise current, voltage, and thermal limits.

The inverter operates from a supply range of 400 – 480 VAC, and at this voltage it draws a rated input current of 110 A. Short production peaks are supported by a primary current ceiling of 800 A, and when paired with a PSG 3100 output section, the secondary circuit can withstand up to 36 kA without loss of regulation. Cooling is handled by an air-cooled channel that directs cabinet air across the power semiconductors, while an onboard TriCore CPU times switching events to limit losses. I/O and diagnostic traffic are routed over Ethernet, and the same network handles the programmable Ethernet timer function for coordinated start-stop sequences. This allows network-based timing and status exchange without separate control wiring for those functions. MOV devices provide overvoltage suppression across the DC link, which helps reduce stress on the power section during line disturbances. Integrated temperature monitoring helps maintain stable operating conditions, and the unit requires 100 mm of installation clearance above and below the chassis so that airflow is not obstructed. Input and output busbar connections must meet a minimum cross-section of 35 mm², and the surrounding cabinet must carry an IP54 rating to shield the inverter from airborne dust.

The inverter itself has a housing protection level of IP20, so a sealed enclosure is required in plant environments that exceed this ingress level. The enclosure therefore provides the barrier against dust and incidental contact that the inverter housing does not supply on its own. Reliable performance is maintained up to a ceiling altitude of 2000 m, where reduced air density still allows adequate cooling during normal operation. Despite its current capacity, the unit weighs only 20 kg, which helps simplify panel mounting in enclosed cabinets.
