Product Description:
The PSI63C0.734-W2 is a medium-frequency inverter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the PSI Frequency Inverters series. The unit conditions high-voltage three-phase power so induction coils, resistance welders, or similar loads receive precisely regulated medium-frequency energy. By placing closed-loop current control close to the process, the inverter supports repeatable heat profiles and fast cycle times in automated production cells.
Its input section handles a line voltage range of 480 to 690 VAC across industrial power systems and draws a nominal phase current of 110 A while remaining synchronized with mains frequencies of 50 or 60 Hz. A TriCore CPU manages gating, fault logging, and onboard process timers, while the Ethernet port used for I/O also supports the timer functions. The integrated supply produces 24 VDC at up to 2 A for sensors and contactors, eliminating the need for an external auxiliary converter. Installation requires 100 mm of free space for airflow and cable bends. Power conductors must be at least 35 mm², and the landing lugs can accommodate the terminal capacity of up to 50 mm². The enclosure has an IP20 rating and meets the 3K3 climatic category. The unit has an overall mass of approximately 25 kg.
Thermal management is water-based, and the inverter is cooled through an M16 × 1.5 threaded port that requires a minimum flow of 4 L/min. At that flow rate, the cooling circuit produces a pressure drop of only 0.1 bar. Internal losses begin at 100 W during cabinet standby and rise to 140 W when the converter is loaded, while the heat exchanger accommodates a maximum of 420 W in cooling losses. The output circuit can accept up to 800 A of primary current and supply a PSG 3100 transformer with secondary current peaks of up to 36 kA. Operating temperatures range from +10 °C to +55 °C. The unit may be stored at temperatures ranging from -25 °C to +70 °C.
