Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat’s PSI63C0.732-W2 belongs to the PSI Frequency Inverters series and is a medium-frequency inverter for high-current automation tasks. By converting high-voltage three-phase mains power into a regulated medium-frequency output, the unit supplies power to primary coils or transformers while its internal control electronics communicate with plant networks through an Ethernet interface. The water-cooled design and integrated 24 VDC auxiliary supply support cabinet-mounted operation where space is limited and effective heat removal is required.
The inverter connects to 50 or 60 Hz distribution systems rated between 480–690 VAC, and it draws a nominal mains current of 110 A. The power cables must have a cross-sectional area of at least 35 mm², and they terminate in clamps that accommodate conductors up to 50 mm². Basic heat loss is 100 W, increasing to 140 W at rated current and reaching 420 W at maximum excitation. The installation requires 100 mm of clearance, while the IP20 housing protects against contact with internal electrical components. Water cooling removes heat from the inverter, and a minimum flow rate of 4 L/min through an M16 × 1.5 connection results in a pressure drop of only 0.1 bar. The unit has a climatic classification of 3K3 under EN 60721-3-3, allowing operation under the applicable temperature and humidity conditions for controlled indoor locations. A 3 mm gasket supports enclosure sealing, while a TriCore CPU supervises output timing and provides timer functions through Ethernet for precise process control.
The power stage delivers a primary output current of 800 A, which the downstream transformer converts into a secondary current of 36 kA at the load. An internal supply provides up to 2 A for connected sensors or relays, allowing peripheral devices to operate without a separate auxiliary source. The inverter operates within a temperature range of +10 to +55 °C, while unpowered equipment can be stored at temperatures from -25 °C to +70 °C. Its total mass is 25 kg, allowing the chassis to be secured with standard panel-mounting hardware of suitable capacity. The terminal system maintains reliable electrical contact for the high-current connections and helps prevent excessive heating at the conductor interfaces. Maintaining the required coolant pressure and flow rate helps control power-stage temperature during sustained operation.
