Product Description:

The PSI63C0.179-W2 is a sophisticated control device that combines a welding timer and a medium frequency inverter together in one housing to form a compact system that provides accurate control over the current, voltage and general operation of industrial welding processes. This inverter is a production of Bosch Rexroth Indramat; it features the latest designs that are perfectly suitable for use in different types of industrial welding applications, including repeat mode welding, spot welding and seam welding. The weld timer integrated into this product is responsible for the major control function; it is the Central Processing Unit that direct communication with higher-level control, holds and allocates memory for configuration parameters, and controls the power supply unit to produce an appropriate welding current based on configuration instructions.

To guarantee optimum operation, the PSI63C0.178-W2 frequency inverter requires a suitable weld transformer with a current sensor and a pneumatically or electrically driven gun with electrode. The PSG 3000 weld transformer is specifically required to be used with this inverter. The PSI63C0.179-W2 operates at a clock frequency of 1 kilohertz. The high clock frequency is responsible for the ability of the inverter to control the welding process more thoroughly and at a faster rate; it effectively extends the good welding range and provides good welding results even when it is being used for the welding of very thin aluminum and galvanized sheets.

The PSI63C0.179-W2 frequency inverter is much safer than conventional welding control devices as it provides fewer welding splashes when used for spot welding. The use of this product in an environment with extreme vibrations and shock is not recommended; also, special care should be taken to protect it from water condensation during operation.
