Product Description:
The Bosch Rexroth Indramat PSI63C0.156-L1 belongs to the PSI Frequency Inverters series and is categorized as a medium-frequency inverter for automated equipment. It converts standard three-phase plant power into a controlled medium-frequency output for induction heating coils, high-speed spindles, or welding transformers. The inverter can be integrated with motion or process controllers found in industrial automation cells.
The unit relies on an air-cooled design, so enclosure airflow must remain unobstructed to remove switching heat. Its power stage reaches an output carrier frequency of 1000 Hz, supporting resonant loads that require elevated frequencies. Input is accepted from a three-phase network at 400 – 480 VAC, and compatibility with TN, TT, or IT grounding topologies eliminates the need for additional transformers. A housing rated to IP20 shields live parts from tools or fingers, while an added 3 mm gasket allows the front plate to seal against an external IP54 cabinet. Low-level electronics are powered by a dedicated 24 VDC logic rail delivered through connector X4, which has 14 poles and a 3.5 mm pitch. This arrangement separates the control and power domains and allows access to the control circuits without disconnecting the main power supply.
Drive parameters are loaded over a V24 / RS232 serial link that connects to the inverter through port X3C, an 8-pole Mini-DIN interface that supports programming cables up to 20 m long. When installed inside machinery with an IP54 enclosure, the inverter mounts vertically on its backside so the air paths remain clear and the main bus bars align with the service doors. Emergency-stop wiring connects to a circuit rated at 24 VDC / 3 A, enabling rapid removal of gate signals. A 24 V timer channel coordinates delayed contactor pull-in. Phase-to-ground voltage must not exceed 480 VAC, and the main bus terminals accept a maximum conductor size of 50 mm², providing adequate conductor capacity while maintaining the required creepage distances.
