Product Description:
The PSI63C0.132-L1 is a medium-frequency inverter produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the PSI Frequency Inverters series. By converting fixed three-phase mains power to variable medium frequencies, it drives induction furnaces, special motors, and other process equipment that require tight speed or thermal profiles in automated manufacturing. The unit combines power electronics, digital control, and cabinet cooling hardware in a single enclosure intended for panel mounting within industrial control rooms.
The inverter operates from a three-phase supply of 400 – 480 VAC, and the mains circuit can draw up to 110 A during rated operation. Internal heat generation starts at 69 W and climbs to 170 W when the modulation index reaches its peak, so enclosure airflow must be designed for both steady-state and overload conditions. Because the unit is air cooled, forced ventilation past the heat sinks removes this heat without external liquid loops. The housing measures 463 mm high, 239 mm wide, and 280 mm deep, and installation requires 100 mm of clearance to maintain airflow. Power lugs accommodate conductors up to 50 mm², while the minimum recommended cross-section is 35 mm². Discrete 24 V I/O terminals support start, stop, and fault signals, and an internal 24 V timer coordinates time-based sequences.
During dynamic cycles, the power stage can deliver a primary current of 800 A, and when paired with a PSG 3100 transformer, the secondary circuit may reach 36 kA, enabling high-power melting or heating duties. A TriCore CPU executes the modulation algorithms, keeping switching losses within the allowable ceiling of 360 W under full load. This output capacity suits medium-frequency heating and melting processes that need high current pulses during dynamic operation.
