Product Description:
The PSI63C0.120-L2 inverter is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the PSI Frequency Inverters series. Classified as a medium-frequency inverter, it converts three-phase plant power into regulated high-frequency energy for process equipment in automated lines. This type of output is suited to equipment that requires controlled high-frequency power rather than fixed mains frequency. The design is suitable for climatic category 3K3 and uses an air-cooled heat sink that dissipates 100 W under basic load and up to 200 W at maximum demand. It can be mounted vertically or on its back side, and its IP20 construction means it should be installed inside a protective enclosure.
This model accepts a mains window of 480 - 690 VAC and supports grid frequencies of 50/60 Hz, so it can operate on common industrial power systems without hardware changes. The control section provides 26 discrete inputs for run commands, interlocks, and step selection. It also includes 19 discrete outputs for status reporting to a PLC or relay logic. That I/O count allows the inverter to exchange multiple machine states without an external expansion block. Terminals accept conductors up to 50 mm², and the minimum cross-section is 35 mm² to help limit temperature rise during operation.
For elevated installations, reliable operation is maintained up to 2000 m before derating is required. The unit supports a sequence standard of 1000 Hz, which is the highest commanded output frequency it can produce without waveform distortion. Its integrated stop circuit can switch loads up to 24 VDC / 3 A. The inverter also provides a stabilized 24 VDC auxiliary supply rated at 2 A for external sensors, contactors, or the 24 V timer circuit. That auxiliary supply can power nearby low-voltage control devices, and the cabinet should provide the mounting orientation and clearance needed for proper heat dissipation.
