The PSI6300.228L1 is a medium-frequency inverter produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the PSI Frequency Inverters series. The unit converts low-frequency mains power into regulated medium-frequency output for induction heating coils, hardening plants, and other automated energy-intensive work cells. By delivering controlled current pulses, the inverter acts as a power processing stage between the facility supply and the load, allowing precise thermal or process energy control that is coordinated with overarching PLC or motion sequences.

The inverter electronics are clocked at 1 kHz, a switching speed that balances semiconductor stress with acceptable output ripple for heating loads. Cabinet thermal dissipation reaches 170 W at maximum power, and the airflow path keeps internal parts within the 55 °C ambient limit. When an optional fan cowl is mounted, inlet air must not exceed 45 °C. Control logic, gate drivers, and sensors draw from a dedicated 24 VDC supply that is isolated from the power stage.
