The PSI6300.168-W1 is a cabinet-mounted power inverter built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the PSI Frequency Inverters series. It converts three-phase plant power into a regulated medium-frequency output suitable for induction heating, brazing, and other process equipment in industrial automation. Recessed mounting saves front-panel space, and the model’s baseline cabinet power loss of 69 W keeps internal heat generation at a predictable level during continuous service.

The power stage switches at a 1 kHz clock rate, balancing efficiency with manageable electromagnetic emissions. Peak demand is handled with a maximum output current of 800 A, while a downstream transformer can draw up to 36 kA of secondary current for short intervals. Gate drivers, sensors, and the integrated 24 V timer are energized from a 24 V DC control supply, isolating the control circuitry from the high-energy path. Thermal management relies on a water-cooled plate; a flow rate of 4 l/min through the M16 × 1.5 connectors keeps semiconductor temperatures below their limits when the inlet water does not exceed 30 °C. An MOV network provides overvoltage protection, and the bus bars accept conductors up to the 50 mm² terminal rating.

Incoming power ranges from 400–480 VAC, allowing operation on standard factory mains without an autotransformer. The enclosure has an IP20 degree of protection, so it must be installed inside a closed cabinet but does not require additional gasketing. Continuous operation is supported at a nominal system current of 110 A, and rated parameters remain available until the ambient temperature reaches 55 °C. The wiring compartment accepts 35 mm² cables, and the lug dimensions accommodate this conductor size. The form factor leaves only the service points exposed, allowing cabinet airflow to be planned around the water lines. These installation provisions help maintain access to the electrical terminals and cooling connections without occupying unnecessary front-panel space.
