Product Description:
The PSI6300.100-L1 is a medium-frequency inverter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the PSI Frequency Inverters series. The device converts a fixed three-phase mains supply into regulated medium-frequency output for induction heating, welding generators, and other automated processes that require consistent power delivery. It accepts a three-phase input from 400–480 VAC networks, supporting connection to common industrial power systems within this voltage range.
The inverter operates with supply frequencies of 50 or 60 Hz. An IP20 housing protects the internal boards against accidental contact while leaving the ventilation slots unobstructed. The thermal design uses an air-cooled system that expels up to 360 W of heat through a finned heat sink and fan assembly. The integrated control supply can provide a maximum current of 2 A at 24 VDC, removing the need for a separate auxiliary power module. The supported line connection, enclosure design, and cooling method should be considered when the inverter is installed in a control cabinet. The stated heat loss can be used to size panel exhaust fans so internal temperatures remain below semiconductor limits, while the enclosure design allows those fans to remain inside the same cabinet.
Continuous operation is supported at ambient temperatures from +10 to +55 °C, consistent with the 3K3 climatic class in EN 60721-3-3. During transportation or storage, the unit withstands temperatures from -25 to +70 °C when protected against condensation. The inverter has a mass of 20 kg, which must be considered when selecting panel supports and mounting hardware. Its weight also affects the load placed on slide-out service frames that support the magnetic components used for medium-frequency generation. A clearance of at least 100 mm above the heat sink preserves the airflow required by the cooling system. Vibration pads can be used when the inverter is installed near press machinery to reduce the transmission of mechanical shock into the enclosure.
