Product Description:
The PSI62C0.766-W1 is a medium-frequency inverter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and delivered within the PSI Frequency Inverters series. In automated induction heating, welding, or hardening stations, the unit converts fixed mains power into a regulated medium-frequency output that matches coil or transformer requirements. This allows precise thermal profiles and repeatable process control during changing load conditions. The design is suited for industrial systems that depend on stable power conversion over continuous operating cycles.
This inverter accepts a three-phase supply of 400 – 480 VAC. A built-in rectifier and switching stage synthesize the desired output, and the conversion cycle operates on a 1 kHz clock frequency. The power section carries a continuous line current of 220 A, while short-term demand can rise to 1200 A without derating. Basic cabinet heat loss is 69 W, which helps with enclosure ventilation planning. Overvoltage on the internal DC bus is limited by an MOV network, and the control electronics receive commands through an EtherNet-based timer interface. Power terminals accept copper conductors up to 95 mm², and integrated temperature monitoring reports status to the supervisory PLC for fault handling.
Liquid cooling removes switching and conduction heat through a water-cooled circuit with a flow rate of 4 L/min, and the coolant inlet may not exceed 30 °C to protect semiconductor junctions. Operation is permitted in ambient temperatures up to 55 °C when the unit is installed in a closed panel, and the enclosure has an IP20 rating. Secondary circuit peaks can reach 54 kA for low-impedance induction loads, while the logic boards use a separate 24 V DC control supply to isolate them from load disturbances. Integrated temperature monitoring can trigger a safe shutdown if coolant flow is lost or airflow is blocked.
