Product Description:
The PSI62C0.751-W1 medium-frequency inverter is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the PSI Frequency Inverters series. The unit converts three-phase mains power into a regulated medium-frequency output used to drive induction heating coils, high-frequency welders, or other process equipment in automated lines. By integrating power conversion, water cooling, and networked control, the product supports precise energy delivery and quick sequence changes demanded by modern manufacturing cells.
On the input side, the inverter accepts a three-phase supply of 400 – 480 VAC, and under nominal duty it draws a 220 A mains current. A copper bus connection rated at 95 mm² links the power stage, allowing safe conduction up to the unit’s 1200 A primary current ceiling. Internally, a medium-frequency transformer and IGBT bridge deliver as much as 54 kA on the secondary winding while maintaining a programmable sequence frequency of 1000 Hz for pulse-width modulation. The electronics are energized from an isolated 24 V DC control supply, and a dedicated stop circuit rated at 24 V DC / 3 A lets safety relays interrupt the firing signals. Program memory holds 1024 steps, and timing is coordinated by an EtherNet-based timer so that process profiles can be reproduced cycle after cycle.
The power semiconductors are water-cooled; coolant enters through an M16×1.5 port and must not exceed 30 °C. A flow of 4 l/min keeps junction temperatures stable even during high current bursts. The cabinet around the inverter carries the IP20 designation, so installation inside an enclosed panel is recommended when ambient air can rise toward the 55 °C operating limit. Process commands travel over the integrated Profinet IO interface, permitting coordinated adjustments to frequency or program steps without local intervention.
