Product Description:
The PSI62C0.133-W1 is a medium-frequency inverter built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the PSI Frequency Inverters series. It converts standard plant power into a high-current, adjustable-frequency output that feeds induction heaters, brazing heads, or melting crucibles in automated production lines. By combining a water-cooled power bridge with programmable timing, the unit delivers repeatable thermal cycles that match the fast cycle times common in modern manufacturing cells. Its control functions support consistent heating sequences in equipment that depends on tightly managed process timing.
The power stage accepts a three-phase input of 400-480 VAC, while the logic section is energized from a separate 24 VDC control rail, keeping signal electronics isolated from the mains conductors. A gating clock of 1 kHz sets the switching rhythm that shapes the medium-frequency waveform delivered to the work coil. Peak primary output reaches 1200 A, but continuous operation is limited to a nominal 220 A to control conductor heating and device losses. Enclosure sealing is rated at IP20, so the inverter must be mounted inside a cabinet. The assembly also supplies an internal auxiliary bus at 2.5 A for contactors or sensors and uses an MOV network for overvoltage suppression on the DC link. Application programs of up to 256 steps are loaded through a V24/RS232 interface that mates with a 9-pin D-Sub port, and an auxiliary timer channel coordinates external sequence signals.
The inverter uses water cooling; a flow of 4 l/min through the brazed-plate exchanger removes switching heat, and the coolant inlet must stay below 30 °C to maintain semiconductor junction margins. Maximum secondary current is 54 kA, enabling high-energy pulses into the induction transformer when short duty cycles are required. Service lines connect through a threaded M16x1.5 fitting, and power cables up to 95 mm² can be landed at the busbars without special adapters. The busbar connection supports direct attachment of large conductors for high-current operation.
