Bosch Rexroth manufactures top-quality inverter systems that are used in a variety of industries. The PSI 6000 series is used for medium frequency welding.
The PSI6100.650-L1 medium-frequency inverter system has been manufactured to assist direct current welding processes. The inverter is used in combination with the PSG-3000 transformer and drastically improves the welding quality because of its distinguishing features. The device comes with different monitoring functions and integrated controls. The integrated control functionality has been provided for high quality, medium frequency welding. The system’s components are seamlessly integrated and very less amount of additional cabling is required for connections. The PSI6100.650-L1 can be fitted into a portable welding box system. The inverter comes with an inbuilt weld-timer in its CPU. A slot has been provided for the Fieldbus module and one slot is provided for installing a quality module. The system uses 110 A nominal current and has a maximum current output of 400 A.
For overvoltage protection, the PSI6100.650-L1 has been equipped with a MOV (metal oxide varistor). The inverter weighs approximately 20 kg and can be mounted with its back on the mounting plate or in a vertical position. The device comes with IP 20 standard protection and can be installed in a switchgear cabinet with IP 54 standard protection. For facilitating machine operators, the inverter comes with a BOS-5000 operator interface that supports easy programming and simplifies using the inverter. It also has comprehensive diagnostic capabilities. The PSI6100.650-L1 ensures high operational reliability and reports fault if the PSG-3000 transformer is under overload condition. A thermostatic switch has been built in to generate a signal when the overload fault occurs. The inverter helps to obtain a constant welding result because of its constant current control.
