The PSI6100.114-L2 is a medium-frequency inverter produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the PSI Frequency Inverters series. The unit converts high-voltage, three-phase mains power into a regulated medium-frequency output for induction heaters, test benches, and other automated loads that require precise current control. By integrating the power stage, protection electronics, and an auxiliary control supply in a single enclosure, it simplifies cabinet design and provides a compact, air-cooled drive resource for industrial systems.
The inverter accepts 480–690 VAC utility power and can synchronize with 50 or 60 Hz networks without frequency-specific changes. An internal switched-mode module delivers 24 VDC auxiliary power at up to 2 A, allowing sensors, contactors, or the built-in timer to operate from the same chassis. The timer supports delayed start sequencing and safety interlocks. The enclosure has an IP20 protection rating, providing finger-safe openings for indoor panels while still requiring installation inside a clean cabinet. Thermal dissipation reaches 360 W at full current, allowing conventional cabinet blowers to remove exhaust heat without liquid cooling. Adequate airflow must pass through the enclosure to keep the internal power electronics within their operating temperature limits.

Cabinet airflow should enter below the inverter and leave above it so naturally rising warm air does not recirculate through the power stage. Nearby wiring ducts, filters, and other components should not restrict this vertical airflow path. The mounting arrangement should also provide access to power and control connections while maintaining the required ventilation space.
