Product Description:
The PSI 6300.315L2 is a medium-frequency inverter produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the PSI Frequency Inverters series. It conditions incoming three-phase energy and delivers a controlled high-frequency output that drives induction heating coils, high-speed rotors, or other loads that operate beyond standard mains frequency. Within an automation cell, the device serves as a dedicated power stage, allowing precise regulation of process temperature, spindle velocity, or material properties without mechanical gearing. The built-in 24-volt auxiliary supply and forced-air cooling permit straightforward installation in a ventilated control cabinet.
The electrical interface accepts three-phase input at 480 to 690 VAC, so the inverter connects directly to high-voltage plant feeders without an autotransformer. Input synchronization is maintained at 50 or 60 Hz, enabling use in regions that follow either utility standard. An ingress protection rating of IP20 indicates protection against accidental contact with live parts, but the inverter must be installed inside an enclosure that protects it from dust and splashing water. Control electronics and external sensors are supplied by an integrated 24-volt rail that delivers up to 2 A. The stabilized output is 24 VDC, eliminating the need for a separate auxiliary power supply module. Climatic category 3K3 according to EN 60721-3-3 indicates suitability for indoor areas with moderate humidity and minimal condensation.
The air-cooled design releases up to 360 W of heat through its integral fans, a value that can be used when sizing cabinet exhaust systems or forced-air plenums. Reliable operation is permitted from +10 to +55 °C, allowing installation near other heat-generating drives when adequate cabinet airflow is maintained. During storage, the electronics can withstand temperatures from -25 to +70 °C. The chassis weighs 21 kg, so the selected DIN rails or shelf brackets must provide sufficient load-bearing capacity. Cabinet spacing should allow unobstructed airflow around the cooling inlets and outlets. The operating and storage temperature ranges should also be considered when selecting the enclosure location and ventilation system.
