The PPC-R22.1N-T-V1-V2-NN-FW is a control unit manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the PPC Controllers series. It serves as the central processor in distributed motion systems and can coordinate up to 40 drives while fitting into a compact RECO housing that slides directly onto DIN rails. By combining DeviceNet, SERCOS, and Ethernet communication in one platform, the unit supports axis coordination, diagnostics, and program download functions inside industrial automation cells. Its compact format also helps preserve space in control cabinets where multiple automation components share the same rail.
A DeviceNet slave interface supports speeds up to 500 KBaud, and the Ethernet channel is rated for 100 MBaud for communication with higher-level controllers. Three backplane connectors provide 3 expansion slots for optional I/O or memory cards, and the onboard flash capacity of 32 MB stores motion programs and parameter files. Internal electronics draw a maximum of 1.2 A, so the unit places a modest demand on the cabinet supply. Two serial ports support local service access, and the RJ-45 Ethernet jack simplifies network cabling inside control enclosures. Its SERCOS fiber channel reaches 16 MBaud for coordination of high-speed drives. The unit is design Version 1, and the installed memory is fixed with no additional expansion. The power header and two serial connectors are placed on the front face to keep wiring clear of the right-side RJ-45 network port.
