The PPC-R22.1N-T-Q1-V2-NN-FW is a control unit manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the PPC Controllers series. Installed next to drives and I/O blocks, it executes motion sequences and gathers process data during machine operation. It also exchanges status words with supervisory PLCs, giving automated machinery a dedicated processor for coordinated axis control and network management.
This controller draws from a nominal 24 VDC supply, eliminating the need for an internal power converter. A PowerPC core running at 266 MHz runs the real-time control tasks that manage interrupts and machine logic. Standard plant cabling connects to the integrated 10/100BaseT Ethernet port for communication and diagnostics. Volatile variables are buffered in 32 MB SDRAM, while application code and machine parameters remain in nonvolatile 128 KB NVRAM. The unit provides three expansion slots; one is occupied by a DAQ03 card that supports Cross Communication between Rexroth drives, and another can hold the DNS03 DeviceNet slave interface for fieldbus integration. Local I/O consists of three digital inputs and two digital outputs that can each source 0.5 A, and two serial ports are available for legacy terminals.
The module’s maximum internal consumption is 1.2 A, which keeps cabinet power planning straightforward. Application programs and trend logs can be moved through the front-mounted 32 MB CompactFlash card without powering down the system, so data handling remains simple during routine updates.
