The PPC-R22.1N-T-Q1-L2-NN-FW control unit is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the PPC Controllers series. As a modular RECO housing, the device occupies two slots in the system rack and uses a backplane power feed rather than a separate local supply connection. In an automation cell, it coordinates motion, gathers process data, and exchanges real-time data through ControlNet and Ethernet networks. The platform integrates with drive-based motion controllers, PLCs, and SCADA hosts, so it can serve as the central processing node for machine control and plant communication.
The controller operates from a 24 VDC supply and draws 1.2 A, which helps size cabinet power distribution accurately. ControlNet communication is handled by the CNS01 slave interface at 5 Mbaud, and its polled data area provides 64 bytes in and 64 bytes out for cyclic control exchange. The Ethernet interface supports 10/100 Mbaud, allowing standard TCP/IP communication with connected systems. Three digital inputs and two digital outputs support local field signals, while two serial ports handle text-based communication. Cross communication over the DAQ03 channel and two link ring fiber pairs extends data exchange between adjacent PPC controllers.
