The PPC-R22.1N-T-N1-N2-P2-FW is a control unit from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the PPC Controllers series. It is intended for centralized or distributed automation tasks in cabinet installations, where coordinated motion sequences and I/O handling are managed from one controller platform. As a control unit, it accepts low-voltage logic power and delivers command data to drives and field devices through its available networking options. The RECO housing allows quick removal from a TS 35 × 27 × 15 DIN rail without rewiring the installation.

The controller operates from a nominal logic supply of 24 VDC and during peak load it draws up to 1.2 A. Its internal regulation limits auxiliary output current to 0.5 A, and the input tolerates ripple up to 4 Vpp. Two transistor outputs and three inputs handle machine signaling for status exchange and simple control actions, and the enclosure meets IP20. With no memory expansion, all code stays in flash, while the option-card bay accepts a PLS module for additional position latching when needed. The unit is design version 1.

For local diagnostics, the front panel carries a 4-digit alphanumeric display that shows error codes and process values during operation. Network exchange is handled by an Ethernet port plus a Profibus DPS01 slave interface, giving the controller deterministic access to higher-level PLCs and connected field devices. Up to 32 pulse-latch outputs can be generated for synchronizing sensors with motion axes through the optional PLS circuitry. Two asynchronous serial ports remain available for barcode readers or weight scales, and the module can source transistor current for the connected outputs. Installation only requires sliding the 1.3 kg module onto the DIN rail and tightening the ground clip. Field wiring is simplified because the housing provides numbered terminals for each channel, and there are no battery cartridges to service.
