The PPC-R22.1N-T-G2-P1-V2-FW is a control unit manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the PPC Controllers series. It occupies a double-width slot in a RECO rack and serves as the central processor that sequences motion axes, evaluates local inputs, and exchanges status with supervisory PLCs over Ethernet. Within an automation cell, it issues position commands, activates outputs for actuators, and reports diagnostic codes so that packaging machines, pick-and-place gantries, or material transfer stations stay synchronized.

This controller is powered from a nominal 24 VDC supply and draws up to 1.2 A when all internal resources are active. Application data are stored in an onboard 32 MB flash device, while a separate RAM area handles real-time variables; no memory expansion slot is provided, so the available flash capacity is fixed. Machine signals arrive through three optically isolated input channels, and status is returned on two transistor outputs that can switch 0.5 A, while a 150 mA relay output is reserved for alarms. Network communication is handled by an onboard Ethernet port and a dedicated DeviceNet slave interface that follows DNS03 conventions, allowing the unit to share I/O images with drive inverters or remote sensor blocks. Because the housing spans a Double Slot, installation leaves adjacent card-guide space free for additional motion or safety modules.

An IP20 enclosure limits use to closed electrical cabinets where contaminants are controlled, and cooling air can circulate freely around the finned housing.
