Product Description:
The PPC-R22.1N-T-G2-P1-NN-FW is a control unit manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the PPC Controllers series. It serves as the central coordinator in modular automation racks, issuing motion and process commands to drives and peripheral stations. The module occupies a double slot inside a RECO housing, and its internal control layer translates higher-level program code into deterministic field operations. It can therefore manage machine sequences and axis communication from one rack location.
This design version 1 controller operates from a nominal supply of 24 VDC and draws up to 1.2 A during heavy processing. Protection class IP20 suits cabinet mounting where dust and moisture exposure is limited. Network traffic is handled through a dual-speed Ethernet interface rated at 10/100 MBaud. A separate Profibus DP master channel supports telegrams with 64-byte input and 64-byte output images and can be clocked as high as 12 MBaud. Three expansion slots accept dedicated motion cards or additional fieldbus modules, although the unit itself does not support memory expansion. Local logic states are monitored through three digital inputs, and two sourcing outputs are available; each output can switch loads up to 0.5 A. A 4-digit alphanumeric display shows node addresses and diagnostic codes, while two serial ports provide access for configuration and data transfer.
The discrete interface includes 3 opto-isolated inputs that accept 24 V signaling for start, stop, or mode selection. It also provides 2 transistor outputs for status indication or relay triggering. A double-width carrier promotes convection around the power components, and the RECO enclosure locks to a DIN rail to resist vibration during machine operation. Total mass is only 1.3 kg, which keeps handling simple and reduces the load on the mounting structure. This compact layout also leaves room for adjacent modules in dense cabinet assemblies.
