The PPC-R22.1N-N-V2-P1-NN-FW is a control unit produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the PPC Controllers series. As a standalone module, it coordinates motion and peripheral tasks inside multi-axis automation cells by relaying commands between a central PLC and SERCOS or DeviceNet networks. Installed on an RMB02.2 rail, the unit supplies sequencing, drive coordination, and diagnostic functions that support servo drives and field devices across assembly lines and packaging equipment. Its role is to keep machine communication organized while centralizing control tasks in a compact cabinet-mounted format.
Its power section is rated for a nominal supply of 24 VDC, and under full load it draws no more than 1.2 A, so standard control-cabinet supplies are sufficient. The compact RECO housing measures 165 mm deep, is 84 mm wide, and mounts on TS 35 × 27 × 15 DIN rails, giving a footprint that fits densely populated panels. An enclosure rating of IP20 provides basic touch protection when the cabinet door is closed. Internally, the controller can supervise up to 64 SERCOS drive axes, allowing centralized interpolation without additional master hardware. The unit does not include memory expansion, so all firmware and application code must reside in the onboard storage of this Design Version 1 board.
Discrete handling is provided through 3 In / 2 Out channels. Each input is latched within 50 µs, while outputs switch loads after a 500 µs delay and can source up to 0.5 A. Field communication is handled by a DeviceNet slave interface identified as DNS03, plus two serial ports, X10 RS-232/485 and X16 RS-232/422/485, for maintenance terminals or legacy drives. The absence of onboard Ethernet confines higher-level links to the existing fieldbus. With a mass of 1.3 kg, the unit installs securely on the TS rail, and the RECO enclosure supports stable operation during continuous 24 V service.
