The PPC-R21.1N-N-S1-FW is a control unit built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the PPC Controllers series. Installed in a machine cabinet, it takes field data from sensors, issues trajectory commands to servo drives, and exchanges status words over the system bus. Its role in industrial automation is to coordinate axes and peripheral equipment locally so that the central PLC can remain focused on supervisory tasks. Because it executes motion logic close to the actuators, response times remain predictable in high-speed packaging or assembly stations. This local processing also helps synchronize motion sequences with incoming sensor signals and machine interlocks.
