The PPC-R02.2N-N-V2-NN-NN-FW is a programmable control unit produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the PPC Controllers series. Designed for installation inside electrical cabinets, it coordinates drives and I/O devices over a fieldbus to execute motion sequences and process logic in automated machinery. By centralizing command tasks, it keeps axis movements, sensor responses, and output switching aligned during repetitive machine cycles. This arrangement is useful in pick-and-place stations, packaging lines, and other systems that require synchronized motion, predictable timing, and efficient use of cabinet space.

The controller operates from a regulated input of 24 VDC and can draw up to 1.2 A during peak loading, so the auxiliary supply must provide adequate overhead for startup behavior and ongoing communication activity. Communication with drives and distributed I/O is handled through a DNS03 DeviceNet slave interface, allowing the host PLC to exchange parameter and status data over the CAN-based fieldbus without adding a separate gateway inside the cabinet. Protection is limited to IP20, which suits enclosed installations where the electronics are kept away from direct moisture and conductive contamination. The enclosure uses the RECO unit mechanical format, allowing snap-in mounting on standard rails and orderly spacing beside neighboring modules.

Revision 2 updates the internal electronics while keeping the external size at 83.7 × 192 × 150 mm, so the module fits control layouts arranged for the same housing footprint. The unit has no memory expansion, which means the control application must remain within the installed storage capacity rather than relying on add-on memory modules. Its mass is only 1.3 kg, which reduces loading on DIN rails and helps maintain secure placement in dense cabinet assemblies. The compact body also leaves room for adjacent power supplies, couplers, and interface modules in panels where available mounting area is limited.
