The PPC-R02.2N-N-Q1-P2-T2-FW is a programmable motion and logic controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the PPC Controllers series. Installed on a DIN rail inside Indramat drive racks, the module coordinates multiple servo axes and peripheral inputs so that packaging machines, printing presses, and material-handling cells follow precise sequences. It accepts setpoint data from supervisory PLCs, calculates interpolated trajectories, and relays them to drive amplifiers as the central command layer in an automated production line. This arrangement also lets linked drives and I/O react in step during indexing, registration, and other repeatable machine cycles.

Communication options are extensive. The integrated Cross Communication, DAQ03 channel permits fast data exchange between several PPC units for synchronous multi-controller projects. An onboard Ethernet 10 Mb Interface, ETH01 supports network access for diagnostics and data transfer, while the Profibus fieldbus slave interface, DPS01 links the controller to decentralized I/O stations or host PLCs that use cyclic telegrams. The electronics are housed in a compact RECO unit that slides into Indramat card frames. The controller uses Design Version 2.

For local program storage, the controller has no memory expansion, so all application code must reside in the base flash on the board. The unit is Series 2, which keeps connector pinouts and device identifiers consistent with the second-generation drive platform. As a control unit, the card issues motion commands rather than switching power, which allows fanless operation and helps conserve panel depth. That operating role also suits densely packed drive cabinets where separate power stages handle motor current and the controller focuses on logic and coordinated axis behavior.
