The PPC-R02.2N-N-NN-B2-NN-FW is a control unit manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the PPC Controllers series. This Series 2 module is Design Version 2 and fits into a RECO housing with an IP20 rating for cabinet-mounted environments. When inserted into a Rexroth automation rack, the unit executes motion and logic tasks while exchanging data over an Interbus IBS03 fieldbus slave interface so that drive controllers, sensors, and higher-level PLCs can coordinate processes.

The controller draws a rated supply of 24 VDC and, at peak, consumes 1.2 A. Internally, its I/O backplane distributes 2.3 A at 24 V and 3.0 A at 5 V; together these rails permit a backplane load of 52 W for connected modules. Two carrier slots are used by the processor, leaving room for up to four carriers that can hold as many as thirteen additional I/O cards. The overall width of one processor plus carriers begins at 83.7 mm, and the aluminum frame stands 192 mm tall. A 6 mm² ground conductor is required to bond the housing, and the Interbus channel supports a 50 m BT bus segment with six addressable devices. The BT plug on the CPU itself uses two of the available sixteen logical device numbers. The unit does not include memory expansion, so application code resides entirely on the fixed flash resources.

The remaining physical parameters help allocate space and cooling inside a control cabinet. Depth is 150 mm, and the unit weighs only 1.3 kg, which helps with DIN-rail installation and handling. A maximum of 15 I/O modules and 4 module carriers can populate the local bus before the 24 V and 5 V limits are reached. Carrier slots used by the CPU are counted separately, so two slots are always reserved for it. Six BT bus devices can be located anywhere along the 50 m segment without violating timing, provided the segment terminators remain installed.
