The PPC-R02.2N-N-N1-P2-NN-FW is a programmable motion and logic controller produced within the PPC Controllers series. The unit operates as the supervisory node in multi-axis drive assemblies, coordinating commands between drives and higher-level PLCs in industrial automation cells. This arrangement lets the controller manage sequencing, axis coordination, and data exchange between machine sections without placing all logic inside individual drives. As a Control Unit, it exchanges process images and command data rather than delivering power directly to field devices.
The controller is built as Design Version 2, indicating the second revision of this platform. For field-level networking, it carries a Profibus fieldbus slave interface DPS01, enabling cyclic data exchange with a Profibus master at standard baud rates. Installation inside a cabinet uses the RECO unit form factor, so the module slides onto a DIN rail carrier, shares the same 24 V DC power bus as adjacent Rexroth cards, and fits neatly into modular control racks. It is supplied with no memory expansion, so the available storage remains limited to the onboard capacity. Larger program archives therefore have to be stored on external equipment rather than on a plug-in memory card.
In addition, a removable Option Card PLS module NSW01 fits into the front connector to generate cam signals that synchronize drives to encoder positions during packaging or press operations. That function is useful where electronic cam profiles must stay aligned with a moving master axis during repeated cycles. Within the series, the controller is Series 2, and it is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. The compact cabinet-mounted layout combines the Profibus channel, the PLS option, and fixed onboard memory in one enclosure, which supports deterministic motion behavior and keeps wiring straightforward in multi-axis systems.
