The PPC-R Series is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It is a powerful controller that comes in a small size in IP 20 rating. It is a general-purpose platform that can work as either a PLC or NC controller. This is subject to the loading software and application. The PPC-R Unit is available with two enclosure versions of variable width.
The first version is the single-width while the second version is a double-width. The two interfaces on the controllers are completely connected based on the Indramat standard. The function (data transfer type) can only be chosen by the related application. The PPC-R Unit comes with an operator input terminal bus (BT bus) that allows the use of the application-related operator input terminals. A cable length of up to 50 meters makes this possible.
The PPC-R02.2N-N-N1-N2-T2-FW controller is installed using a module carrier system that comprises single or more RMB02.2-04 units. The only use of a double carrier RMB02.2-02 is an installation carried. It is just used to fix the PPC-R Unit. It is not possible to control the RECO modules or to connect various PPC-R Units using a backplane. The PPC-R02.2N-N-N1-N2-T2-FW controller occupies two units. This carrier system allows the PPC-R Unit to manage up to fifteen more I/O modules. Dependent on the application, the PPC-R02.2N-N-N1-N2-T2-FW controller has fixed PC/104 modules that, for instance, can be employed for open field bus interfaces like Profibus and Interbus. As a serial real-time communication system, the PPC-R02.2N-N-N1-N2-T2-FW controller closely tracks communication between components that are key to motion control.
