The PPC-R02.2N-N-N1-N2-NN-FW is a motion and process control unit produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the PPC Controllers series. Installed inside machine cabinets, this module provides centralized coordination of axis commands, I/O handling, and interface management in automated production lines and material-handling cells. By executing control functions from embedded memory, it synchronizes drives, sensors, and peripheral modules, allowing deterministic cycle sequences in industrial environments.

The controller is powered from a nominal field supply of 24 VDC. Internal regulators limit current draw to 1.2 A, while the backplane can deliver up to 52 W to connected I/O cards. Program and parameter data are retained in 4 MB of flash memory, and real-time variables run from 8 MB of SDRAM, while the expansion slot for additional RAM is not equipped. Communication with higher-level hosts or local operator panels is handled through two serial channels that support RS232/RS422/RS485 signaling. Three internal expansion positions are provided: U2 and U3 accept NSW01 sub-modules, and U4 is covered when unused. A dedicated Option Card PLS module can also be fitted for fast output sequencing. The housing uses the RECO form factor and measures 192 mm in height, 83.7 mm in width, and 150 mm in depth, fitting standard rack assemblies.

For high-speed latch functions, the integrated PLS option delivers 32 transistor outputs, each rated at 250 mA at 24 V, with an update interval of 250 µs so time-critical events stay synchronized to the drive loop. The unit carries a protection rating of IP20, which requires installation inside a filtered control enclosure. At only 1.3 kg, the controller adds minimal mass to a multi-axis rack. It uses a design version 2 logic board that matches the Series 2 feature set of this platform.
