The NAM4.2-480-0650-NN-120 is a power-line form module from the NAM Power Line Form Modules series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. The unit is installed in multi-axis drive cabinets to shape and monitor the DC bus that supplies connected inverter modules for shared power distribution. By coordinating charging, preloading, and fault signaling, it supports stable energy management in industrial automation cells where regenerative drives and large surge currents are common.
This module is energized by a control line rated at 120 VAC and synchronized to a 60 Hz control frequency. Internal logic consumption remains limited to 15 VA, so auxiliary supplies can be sized modestly. A preload circuit delivers 1 A to charge capacitors gradually, while the recommended breaker size is 3.0 A to protect the control wiring. Once active, the power stage can conduct a maximum current of 650 A and buffer energy with a DC-link capacitance of 150 mF. The response relay inside the module is rated for 120 VAC at 1 A on AC loads and 24 VDC at 1 A on DC loads, allowing direct connection to interlock chains without external contactors.
