Product Description:
The NAM1.3-15 is a power line form module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the NAM Power Line Form Modules series. Installed at the front end of a multi-axis drive package, it shapes raw three-phase mains power into a regulated intermediate circuit and routes both energy and diagnostic signals to downstream inverters. This arrangement lets several servo axes share a common DC bus rather than relying on a separate rectifier section for each inverter. It also helps simplify cabinet wiring in automated machining lines, material-handling systems, and other motion platforms.
The enclosure occupies 105 mm of panel width and 325 mm of depth, which supports side-by-side mounting with drive controllers. The primary supply connects on U1, V1, and W1, while regenerated power leaves on U2, V2, and W2. A 16-pin bus cable carries enable and status lines between adjacent NAM modules. The integrated line choke is wired through the 1L+/2L+ posts, and its 25 mm² clamp must be tightened to 4 Nm. Separate main terminals accept conductors up to 10 mm² for auxiliary circuits, and those screws are tightened to 2 Nm. Installation also calls for a minimum DC-bus conductor of 6 mm² together with 16 mm² mains leads to limit thermal rise when the module supplies full current to multiple axes.
The module has an overall length of 390 mm, and it requires 80 mm of clearance above and below the housing to maintain airflow over the heat sink. That open space helps keep the cooling path unobstructed when the unit is mounted near other power components in a cabinet. The DC link should use at least 6 mm² copper so wiring resistance stays low during regeneration. These layout requirements help the power section remain stable during continuous operation with several connected servo axes.
